Lucy Lockett Jewellery Charms commissioned Specific Gravity to develop their first online e-commerce website. LucyLockettJewelleryCharms.co.uk is powered by WordPress 3 and the commercial Shopp e-commerce plugin. The site uses a custom WordPress theme as well as Shopp theme customisations.

Think Clean.There’s nothing worse than visiting a website and not knowing where to look! Use a small amount of colours that compliment each other. ‘Whitespace’, when used correctly, is not a bad thing. Don’t try and fill in blank space.
Allow the Visitor to be in Control.Your visitors should be able to browse your website without being disturbed. This means no sounds that automatically play, no boxes that pop-up on their own accord. These may seem like good ideas, but your visitors will be wearing their mouse buttons out clicking away from them.
Make sure your websites accessible.
Your website should be easy to use and accessible to everyone. Develop your website so that it meets W3C standards. Don’t use images when you can use text. Make sure site works in all of the most popular browsers and versions.
Get to the point.Your websites design should complement your content, not drown it. Keep important content and navigation at the top of the page so it is visible without the need to scroll. Optimise your website to ensure it loads promptly.
Be consistent.‘Where did it go?’ – your visitors should never need to think that. Keep your websites layout and style consistent.Your navigation and content should be in the same place. Style and language should be consistent throughout the site.

We used to have a really super domain name suggestion tool named SuperNovaNames. Unfortunately our providers API completely changed and things went a bit buggy – so we had to remove it while we integrated the new API :’( (an API is a toolset of code that al integrate our applications with other applications)
